What Women Really Want On Valentine's Day.
It’s no secret that men and woman think differently. So for this Valentines Day I decided to simplify the Valentines Day struggle. Here is what every woman wants to tell their significant other but doesn’t know how to.
ONE : We WANT the flowers! We just don’t want the $200 red rose bouquet with leather leaf … because ew. Florist are known for up charging not only roses but all flowers on V-Day and to be honest they usually die quickly and the quality is lack luster. Plus red roses don’t do it for us! There are so many other flowers that are just so beautiful, mix it up for us!
Instead, consider a trendy boutique that won’t break the bank. I am all about shopping local and supporting local businesses but on this holiday if you’re looking to go somewhere to grab a boutique try Trader Joe’s. TJ is the best alternative for Valentine’s Day bouquets. For most of us we would rather see a beautiful bouquet of trendy flowers at an affordable price than see that big vase of roses. // If the bouquet idea isn’t for you than consider even a beautiful orchid plant! Orchids last forever, they are breath taking and SUPER affordable!
Even more exciting!! TWO : Don’t skip the card, I repeat… DO NOT SKIP THE CARD. And hey! While you’e at it… read the card. Then proceed to not only write Love, Bob. but write a few sweet words that mean something to her too!
THREE: Chocolates, we know they are the tradition gift for the holiday but a big chocolate heart not only temps us to eat wayyy too much chocolate for an entire week but it also sabotages our New Year resolutions that just started, consider a smaller box just for the actual day. You won’t make us feel like we shouldn’t have chocolate but you won’t turn us into a crazy chocolate addict either. Especially if you don’t plan on helping us eat the box like my boyfriend! lol
FOUR: Now that you’ve saved a bunch getting better, cheaper flowers and a smaller box of chocolates it’s time to consider a little gift too! Something we’re really really going to LOVE! We don’t expect anything crazy (well maybe some of us do, but I am just speaking for the general population). A gift on Valentine’s Day should be all about her, to pamper herself, or make her feel good. Below I’ll post some of my favorites and you can decide what fits your S.O best!
FIVE: Last but certainly not least book a dinner reservation! Like YES YOU, don’t ask her where she wants to go don’t ask her what she wants to eat… You pick a place you think she’ll like, you call and make the reservation and if you want to go above and beyond get her a cute new top to wear to dinner! Guys it’s the little things. Also consider not going to dinner on actual Valentine’s Day which shouldn’t be too hard this year because it falls on a Thursday but typically no matter what day it is restaurants do a pre fixed menu. That may interest you but usually the menu’s are terrible, the food isn’t as good as it normally is, and it’s more expensive. So book a reservation for the weekend instead!
Get her a massage gift card at your local massage boutique! Mine in town is Hawaii Foot Spa! THE BEST.
You can NEVER go wrong with a Mani Pedi either but make sure you get the gift card to where she normally gets her nails done, anywhere else won’t be the same! If you don’t know, ask her friend, sister, or mom!!! - I recommend Hawaii Nails in Deer Park, NY

These are just a few ideas! Get creative, anything that shows you put a little thought and effort into the day will mean the world to her.
