A Note To My Referral Partners During These Hard Times.

I'm going to be honest... last night I cried. For about 6 solid seconds. Between putting mortgage fires out, worrying about locking loans, trying to keep deals together, and making sure all of my clients receive the same customer service satisfaction they normally would FELT OVERWHELMING. 

Don't get me wrong I am usually a strong, positive person but these last two weeks have been incredibly trying so dang it sometimes-- like, when, say, there's a pandemic is sweeping the world-- I allow myself to be human long enough to self soothe... AND then I keep it moving.

Regardless of how you feel about what's going on with Coronavirus it's impossible as a business owner not to be worried. Especially in the field that we are in. Especially when we're considered "non-essential".

I've been giving a lot of thought to this and through everything I have put together some tips and tricks that have helped me and I figured hey! maybe they could help you too! These are the things I believe we should concentrate on during this time and if we do I believe we will come out of this stronger, more alive, and ready to hit the ground running! This year can still be a great year in real estate, I know it!

Self Care: I know what you're thinking when I say self care but I can assure you I don't mean face masks and a day off. What I mean is taking care of yourself. Now more than ever honestly. Drink all the water, get your sleep, exercise, eat foods that bless your body. Don't use this time to be a human garbage disposal. I'm not saying to do these things so you can avoid a virus I am encouraging you to do these things because leading a team and running a business during an uncertain time is stressful.  You want to take the time (that we all have plenty of now) and make ourselves feel the way we want to and need to. Pick up a new book, mediate, journal daily, make a home cooked meal.... we complain daily about how we have no time to do anything, we neglect our health because of it. NOW is the time to change that.

*this is the perfect time to practice gratitude... look for the ways you are blessed and search for ways to be grateful during this time. shifting your mind frame can shift your entire perspective during this difficult time.

Education: Obviously school is out but that doesn't mean learning should be out too. Especially now we should be taking the time to do our CE credits, learn something new (maybe social, TIK TOK anyone?), READ, become an expert in our industry. Most importantly, learn how to use ZOOM. It is the future of business right now.. master it. Get on with your referral partners and the core people who make your business AND connect with them. The time you put in now can bring you to an exponentially higher level once we're back to work (which we will be before you know it)!

Be Obsessive Over You're Database: I say this ALL THE TIME... but I mean it even more now. Your database and your past clients are people you have already worked SO hard to make happy. It is a group of people who already like, know, and trust you! You would be a fool not to show up for them now. So maybe that looks like sending out an email to let them know your'e available if they need you, or maybe it's advising them about what they should and should NOT be doing if they can't pay their mortgage right now (more on that to come).... but GUYS! Show up for your people! Give them value! Support your local businesses that are currently open and send out the new specials they are promoting to your database! Do live questions and answer! Get ahead of this and don't you dare bury your head in the sand!

Future Goal Getter: Remember that podcast you have been wanting to start?? Pstttt NOW is the time! or how about that database I just spoke about? Do you not have one of those? WHAT are you waiting for? Heck! This is the perfect time to work on future business goals and ideas you've had doodled in a notebook somewhere. Every single one of you have told me you "don't have the time" for social media... well guys I am here to tell you, you have all the time in the world right now... start the INSTAGRAM page!

All I hope is that these tips and this email find you well, healthy and happy. Please know that you ARE strong enough. YOU are capable of amazing things. You have ALWAYS figured it out in the past. I am here for you... and I am excited to come out of this stronger and wiser together.
